Scientists claim to have developed an invisible wearable polymer that will act like a younger-looking layer of skin when you wear it.

Called Second Skin, they say it lasts for days and may even reshape your face.

It is claimed it can replicate the properties of natural, young skin such as its elasticity. The skin could potentially be applied to other areas of the body – for instance a turkey neck.

In a two part process, a silicone polymer cream is applied to your face before a platinum catalyst is painted on.

In a pilot study, it was determined that the skin could be worn for more than 24 hours but M.I.T said it needs to do more research before drawing further conclusions.
