Waypoint Centre Assault Leads To Charges Against Patient
Three Sent To Hospital Following Armed Attack
Charges have been laid after an assault sent three Waypoint staff to hospital. Southern Georgian Bay OPP say they have charged a 32-year-old patient of the Waypoint Centre for Mental Health in Penetanguishene, with various assault-related offenses, after police claim the man was behind an armed attack at the centre on April 5th. The three staff members have since been released from hospital.
