What to Do, Where to Park & More! Join us For Celebrate Barrie This Saturday

Join us this Saturday (June 4) from 10am-5pm at Centennial Park

Barrie’s 17th annual Celebrate Barrie kicks off this weekend at Centennial Park! There’s free fun for all ages starting with Battle of the Bands on Friday Night, and continuing through till a screening under the stars Saturday night at Centennial Beach.

Battle of the Bands features local musicians competing for great prizes. In its 6th edition, this is a great opportunity to check out some of the up-and-coming bands in the area. Battle of the Bands runs from 7pm to 10pm on Friday night.

Start off your Saturday with the Base Borden 100: Freedom of the City Parade. Members of the Canadian Armed Forces will march through downtown Barrie starting Saturday at 10am.

The fun continues Saturday with tons of activities including inflatables, a rock climbing wall, a skateboard show and fire and police display. There’s also live entertainment, “Speaking of Wildlife” and “Science North” — to name a few of the fun activities!

The fun continues Saturday night with a screening under the stars at Centennial Beach. Bring your lawn chairs and join us at 9pm for Ratatouille presented in partnership with Barrie Film Festival (…weather permitting).
