Will Smith attending the Oscars would be weird now!

Will Smith stands behind his wife.… (Cause we wants too, or because he’s scared of her? Will was on Good Morning America yesterday where he said it would be awkward to attend now… “My wife’s not going. It would be awkward to show up with Charlize [Theron],” Smith joked of attending the Feb. 28 ceremony with a different leading lady. Will also admitted that he had no idea that his wife was going to speak out and post the video….

Spike Lee, Jada Pinkett-Smith, and Will Smith are boycotting this year’s Oscar ceremony over the lack of diversity in this year’s nominees. None of them, however, are Oscar nominees this year (despite Lee’s Chi-Raq and Smith’s leading performance in Concussion). Mark Ruffalo is a nominee, for his supporting role in Spotlight, but he told BBC Breakfast on Thursday that he too is considering skipping the ceremony.

Eminem’s former sister-in-law has died from an apparent heroin overdose. The body of Dawn Scott, the twin sister of the rapper’s ex, Kim, was found in a trailer home in Detroit, Michigan on Tuesday. Eminem, was married Kim to from 1999 to 2001, and then again for four months in 2006. Representatives for Eminem have yet to comment on Dawn’s death.

Openly-gay singer Ricky Martin has given female fans hope of a future bedroom romp after confessing he is “open” to sleeping with a woman if he feels the “desire”. Ricky has been single ever since confirming his split from his longtime boyfriend, in early 2014, and although he wants to find love with another man, the 44-year-old insists he wouldn’t turn down the opportunity of bedding a beautiful woman…

Dr. Phil Locked his staff in a room.… Phil McGraw, who plays a doctor on his popular talk show Dr. Phil, is being sued by a former employee for locking nearly 300 staffers in a room armed by security guards. Leah Rothman has filed the lawsuit of this incident. She worked for Phil from 2003 until April of last year. People Magazine describes the March 11, 2015:  “She was called into work on her day off, where she and approximately 300 Dr. Phil employees were gathered into a room staffed with several security guards. McGraw allegedly entered the room, told the guards to lock the doors and ordered the employees to turn over their phones.” The alleged imprisonment / staff meeting was over someone on the staff leaking information to the media.

Mariah Carey and billionaire James Packer are engaged.  Reps for the singer confirmed the news saying: “Yes, the couple were engaged tonight in New York.”  Mariah’s new ring, which comes in at around 35 Carats! Wow. (Just to put that in perspective, her previous $2.5 Million ring from ex Nick Cannon was 17 Carats). Did you know she may have just over taken Elizabeth Taylor, who held the title of the most expensive celebrity engagement ring? Elizabeth’s ring from Richard Burton was 33 carat’s and $8.8 Million.

Several hundred people lined up outside Montreal’s Notre-Dame Basilica on Thursday to get a chance to pay their respects to Celine Dion’s late husband, Rene Angelil. The viewing was scheduled to last until 9 p.m. eastern at the church where the couple married in 1994 and where Angelil’s funeral will be held Friday afternoon. Celine was present in the church at the beginning of the afternoon and welcomed some of the mourners, including Montreal Mayor and a fan that has seen Dion in concert 192 times; telling reports that he based his vacations on where she was in concert….
