Woman Charged With Stealing Tottenham-Area Family Pet

Here’s one for the dogs. An Ancaster woman has been charged after police say she took a dog from a Tottenham-area home. It’s alleged to have taken place on December 19th while the woman was attending a family event there. She asked to take the family dog for a walk, after which police say she fled with the animal, refusing to return it, claiming the 5-year-old golden retriever had been lost. The 50-year-old woman has since been charged with Theft Under $5,000 while the dog has yet to be recovered.
