Who Steals Another Persons Dog?

A case of a stolen dog may not be what police first thought. Turns out Casper, the 13 year old poodle, that was thought to have been picked up by a dog-napper, has been handed over to the Humane Society. The Nottawasaga OPP say they are continuing their investigation as to weather the dog was taken intentionally or thought to have been wandering and picked up.

Its the kinda crime right out of a made for TV movie… A man working in his yard, a truck pulls up, the door slams and the trucks pulls away. The man then notices his dog is missing… problem is, it really happened and it did so on Concession 2 in Adjala- Tosorontio Township, just after 8 o’clock last night. The 13 year old miniature poodle, named Casper, is beige with black spots on his belly and weighs about 10 pounds. He does have a tattoo and was wearing a collar with tags. Police say the truck is described as a black Ford Ranger or older model Mazda with tinted windows. Nottawasaga Detachment at (705) 434-1939, or the Crimestoppers tip line at 1-800-222-8477
