WOULD YOU DRINK YOUR SIGNIFICANT OTHER'S BATH WATER FOR $1,000? ππ°

Today's edition of βThe Economy Can't Be THAT Badβ comes courtesy of the internet.
An online poll asked people a simple but deeply disturbing question: Would you drink your significant other's bath water for $1,000? AndΒ 81 per cent said YES.

Apparently romance isn't dead. It's just...Β soup now. There are rules, though.
Your partner would first shower or bathe normally, so we're not talking about a full day's worth of... seasoning. Then they'd lie in a clean tub of warm water forΒ 20 minutes.
Afterwards, you'd have to drink ONE LITRE of that water to collect your thousand bucks.
One litre! That's not a sip. That's aΒ Nalgene bottle of relationship broth.
And the internet immediately started negotiating the terms.
Can I refrigerate it first? Yes.
Because apparently the problem wasn't drinking your partner's bath water. It was that it might be room temperature.
You can't add anything to it, though. Not even ice.
You can also spread your litre out over eight hours, which somehow makes it worse.
Imagine opening the fridge at 4 p.m.:
"Whose bath water is this?"
"DON'T TOUCH THAT. I'VE GOT $600 LEFT."
People were slightly more willing to do it if their partner was a woman, with 84 per cent saying yes, compared with 74 per cent if their partner was a man.
Someone even asked whether this was a one-time offer or if they could do it repeatedly for more money.
And THAT person isn't participating in a hypothetical anymore.
They've started a small business.
My favourite response, though, came from someone who said they're currently single...
but they'd still do it.
Sir.
That's not how this works.
You don't even have a significant other and you're already drinking imaginary bath water for imaginary money.
So that's today's question:
$1,000. One litre. Your partner's bath water.
Are you doing it?
Because apparently 81 per cent of people have a price... and it's disturbingly affordable.
