Easter Seals Collingwood Snowarama

Former NHL great Al Lafrate will join the top 25 fundraisers snowmobiles and hit the trails on January 23, 2016 for the Collingwood Snowarama for Easter Seals Kids. Al Lafrate perhaps most famous for his extremely hard slap shot. He set a record for velocity during the NHL Skills Competition of 1993, a record which stood for 16 years, at 105.2 miles per hour (169.3 km/h). The question is can Al Lafrate ride as fast as he can shoot?!

This years annual Snowarama will takes place on Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) groomed trails, and encourages winter enthusiasts to raise funds for children and youth with physical disabilities. The event will begin at J & R Cycle, 8166 Hwy 26, Stayner. Registration will take place from 10:00 a.m – 11:00 a.m. There will be two rides leaving J & R Cycle, one leaving at 11:00 a.m. and the other leaving at noon.

With a variety of family-friendly activities planned throughout the day, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. Chili and coffee will be served throughout the day.
