We’re excited to announce that an amazing group of Community Youth Changemakers have organized a series of pop-up furniture drop-off events and an upcycling workshop in partnership with the Furniture Bank and Youth United.

Lots of people have usable furniture they don’t want anymore.
Lots of other people need furniture but can’t afford it. Furniture Bank helps both!

Barrie “Furnish Futures” Drop-off
Day: Sunday, March 17th 3-6pm
Times: 3-6pm
Location: Moving Art // 125 Anne St

Midland “Furnish Futures” Drop-off
Day: Friday, March 15th
Time: 5-8pm
Location: Test Batches Brewery // 476 Hugel Ave, Midland

“Furnish Futures” Upcycling Workshop
This upcycling workshop is open to all youth in Simcoe County. Each volunteer will have the opportunity to choose a piece of donated furniture, create a design, and upcycle it at the Redwood Warehouse. The newly refinished furniture will then be donated to the Furniture Bank. All of the pieces will be available for Furniture Bank clients to help transform their house to a home. This is a great way for youth to get involved with meaningful initiatives, give furniture a second chance, and learn new skills that they can apply for the rest of their lives.
