Imagine Getting From Toronto To Niagara In 30 Minutes!
And no, you wouldn’t be taking a plane!
An Ontario Hovercraft company is planning to launch a 30-minute transit experience from Toronto To Niagara.
In an announcement made on Wednesday, Ontario Hoverlink Ltd. said it’s in the final stages of approval that would take people from Toronto to St. Catharine’s starting in summer 2023!
Once completed, the vessel will depart from Ontario Place on Toronto’s waterfront and arrive at Port Weller, St. Catharines in just half an hour – a trip that usually takes around 2 hours on a good day.
The company says the hovercrafts can take 180 passengers on each journey. No cars on board though.
The company says this is the first of its kind in North America!
The hovercraft vessels are weatherproof and can travel over water, land, and ice. There will be no outdoor seating areas.
The company says they will operate all year round!
