Millie Bobby Brown Claps Back at 'Bullying' Press Over Her Looks

Published March 5, 2025

Millie Bobby Brown has had enough. The Stranger Things star took to Instagram to call out journalists who have been hyper-fixating on her appearance, describing it as nothing short of bullying.

🗣️ "I grew up in front of the world, and for some reason, people can’t seem to grow with me," she said in a video that has now been viewed nearly 30 million times. "Instead, they act like I’m supposed to stay frozen in time… And because I don’t, I’m now a target."

Brown, 21, went as far as naming specific writers and tabloids—including The Daily Mail—for their harsh takes on her evolving look. Headlines like "What has Millie Bobby Brown done to her face?" and "Why are Gen Zers like Millie Bobby Brown ageing so badly?" were among the examples she read aloud.

💥 "This isn’t journalism. This is bullying," Brown declared. She especially took issue with female writers tearing her down, calling it "even worse."

The timing is ironic, given that this all unfolded right after International Women’s Day. Brown's message? "Do better." And honestly? She’s right.
