Spotify Is Now Rewarding Superfans With Concert Tickets 🎟️🎵

If you've ever listened to the same Taylor Swift song 47 times in a row and called it “self-care,” your dedication may finally be paying off.

Spotify has launched a new feature in Canada called Reserved, and it's designed to help some of an artist's biggest fans get concert tickets before everyone else.

Because apparently Spotify has been paying attention to your unhealthy relationship with that one playlist.

Here's how it works:

Spotify looks at things like how often you stream an artist, whether you save their songs, share their music, and generally act like their unofficial publicist.

If you make the cut, Spotify may offer you access to purchase up to two concert tickets before the general public gets a chance.

Think of it as a VIP lane for people who know every lyric, every deep cut, and probably the artist's birthday.

Location also matters.

There's not much point offering early tickets to a concert in Vancouver if you're sitting in Barrie, wondering why your snowblower won't start.

The program first launched in the United States and is now available to eligible Spotify Premium users in Canada.

Spotify says the goal is to reward actual fans instead of letting bots, resellers, and that one friend who somehow always gets tickets despite never knowing a single song.

The tickets are being offered through a partnership with Live Nation and Ticketmaster, where fans complete the purchase.

And Spotify says they don't charge any extra fee for the service. Which might be the most shocking part of this entire story.

So if you've spent the past year listening to one artist so much that Spotify's annual Wrapped basically turns into a restraining order...

Congratulations.

Your obsession may finally have benefits.
