Police Warn You To Tighten Your Nuts Ahead Of Winter Season

Two Cars Lost a Wheel Shortly After Snow Tire Installation

A reminder from police ahead of the winter season. Make sure your nuts are tight. Grey County OPP say they got two calls of winter tires falling off cars in one day. Just before 9:00 Saturday morning, a truck’s front driver’s side wheel came off, after the driver recently had the snow tires installed. Then, about 2:30 in the afternoon, a sedan making a turn into a parking lot also lost a tire, on the passenger side. No injuries were reported in either case, but in both instances, police say the lug nuts were not tightened enough when the snow tires were installed.
