Toronto Blue Jays gear up for milestone 50th season in 2026

The Toronto Blue Jays are heading into a landmark year, celebrating their 50th season in Major League Baseball with a full calendar of events, giveaways and fan experiences designed to honour the franchise’s past while building excitement for the future.

The anniversary season will run throughout 2026, featuring special theme nights, retro tributes, commemorative merchandise and major in-stadium celebrations at Rogers Centre. The team will also wear a special 50th-season patch all year to mark the milestone.

Fans can expect one of the biggest promotional lineups in franchise history. The club has announced dozens of giveaways and theme days, including bobbleheads, replica jerseys, retro collectibles and family-focused game experiences.

Highlights announced so far include:

• Opening Weekend giveaways celebrating the team’s recent success and history
• Retro and pop-culture specialty nights featuring themed jerseys and merchandise
• Family-friendly Jr. Jays Sundays and community-focused game days
• Replica World Series memorabilia and historic-moment tributes
• A special anniversary game featuring discounted concessions like 77-cent hot dogs tied to the franchise’s 1977 debut season 

The organization is also planning permanent legacy pieces, including a statue honouring Joe Carter and his iconic 1993 World Series home run outside Rogers Centre.

Ticket sales for the 2026 campaign are already underway, with single-game seats, flex packs and specialty ticket experiences tied to themed nights available to fans. Promotions tied to specific games often include exclusive merchandise for early arrivals, making certain dates highly anticipated.
