Conditions unpredictable
A man in his 70s had to be rescued Wednesday after falling through the ice on Lake Simcoe near Snake Island. He was treated by paramedics. Police and firefighters have issued a reminder that due to the fluctuation in temperature ice conditions are precarious at best. There have been several instances in recent days of people, and vehicles, going through the ice.
