If there was one undeniable fashion takeaway from Super Bowl 2025, it’s this: Skinny jeans are officially dead.
Kendrick Lamar took the stage sporting a pair of flared jeans, instantly sending millennials into a nostalgic spiral—and straight to their online shopping carts. The Song of the Year winner rocked a light-wash pair, paired with a motorcycle jacket, a look straight out of the early 2000s college era.

While some suspected Kendrick was wearing Levi’s vintage 567 Relaxed Flare Jeans ($98), it turned out his were actually a $1,300 pair from Celine.
Social media exploded, with millennials reminiscing about their college wardrobes and Gen Z celebrating yet another win in the war against skinny jeans.
To be fair, skinny jeans have been on life support since 2020, when TikTok declared them uncool alongside side parts and the 😂 emoji. But if Kendrick’s Super Bowl moment is any indication, flares, boot cuts, and low-rise jeans are officially back.
