More Cold Weather Needed To Stabilize Ice
Barrie Police are urging the public to stay off the ice. Snow Machines and ATV’s need at least 5 to 7 inches or 17 cm’s of ice before it is considered safe.
The MNR says Kempenfelt Bay is believed to be only 3 inches at the moment. They are advising people to avoid venturing out onto the ice until we have had a few more days of consistently low temperatures.
