United Nations To Tackle Hunger, Poverty, Climate Change
Secretary-General says unswerving political will needed
The United Nations has put together a 15-year plan to eradicate poverty and hunger, as well as focus on climate change and improving education. The cost is estimated at between 3.5 and 5 trillion dollars a year. Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon has praised the goals but warns that “further progress will require an unswerving political will, and collective, long-term effort.”
