This item in your bathroom can get rid of dandruff!

Plagued by the itchy, dry annoyance that is dandruff?  Turns out the answer might be hiding in your bathroom.

All you need is a squirt bottle and Listerine to get rid of dandruff!

Canadian beauty blogger Farah Dukai – who’s previously recommended rubbing garlic all over your face to prevent acne – has just shared her method for ridding her scalp of flakes: mouthwash.

Listerine, more specifically. She says that her solution will leave your scalp ‘tingly, cool, refreshed’ and most definitely dandruff free. Farah explains that Listerine has menthol, thymol and methyl salicylate – which all have anti-fungal, anti-septic, and anti-inflammatory properties ideal for getting rid of dandruff and soothing irritation.

I once tried a home remedy on my friend after a day in the sun left her with a wicked sunburn…. I smeared plain yogurt all over her!  Not sure if it actually helped, but it was funny to see!
