Two-Thirds of Adults Want Their Favourite Childhood Products to Make a Comeback!

Published March 26, 2025

Ever wish you could turn back time and get your hands on the nostalgic products from your childhood? You’re not alone!

A new study reveals that two in three adults would pay extra to bring back their favourite discontinued products. The average person would pay 32% more if their most beloved items made a comeback.

Why the Obsession With Nostalgia?

Over half (55%) of respondents said that retired products hold more value than anything brands currently offer. And 71% admitted they’re more likely to shop from brands that remind them of their childhood.

Even more interesting, 57% of people said they’d buy second-hand versions of their favourite old-school products, proving just how deep the nostalgia runs.

The Most Wanted Comebacks

Some of the most requested throwbacks include:
🎮 Classic gaming consoles (Atari, Sega, OG Nintendo)
🥤 Crystal Pepsi & Jolt Cola
📱 Blackberry phones & iPods
🍌 Banana Nesquik
👖 Bubblegum Jeans & Silver Jeans

What Would You Bring Back?

I’d love to see:
📼 Blockbuster (Friday night movie rentals just hit different)
📸 Disposable cameras (because filters can’t replace real film vibes)
📺 MuchMusic & YTV’s The Hit List with Tarzan Dan (peak Canadian entertainment!)
🛍️ The It Store (because where else could you find lava lamps and prank gifts in one spot?)

So, what discontinued product would you revive?
