Amy Schumer and Husband Chris Fischer Announce They’re Splitting After 7 Years

Amy Schumer has shared some personal news with fans. The comedian and actress says she and her husband, chef Chris Fischer, have decided to end their marriage after seven years together.
Schumer announced the split in a candid social media post on Friday, keeping it very much on brand for her.
“Blah blah blah Chris and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage after 7 years,” she wrote. “We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son. We would appreciate people respecting our privacy at this time.”
She added that the split is amicable, saying it’s “all love and respect” and emphasized that they’ll always be a family.

Still a Family, Just a Different Chapter
Schumer and Fischer were married in February 2018 in Malibu, California, and welcomed their son in May 2019. While their romantic relationship is ending, both have made it clear that co-parenting and their family remain the priority.
For fans, the announcement felt very real and very grown-up. No drama, no finger-pointing, just two people acknowledging that relationships can change.
A Refreshingly Honest Message
If nothing else, Schumer’s approach resonated with a lot of moms who know that life, marriage, and family don’t always follow the fairy-tale script.
Sometimes it’s not about failure.
Sometimes it’s about choosing peace, respect, and what’s best for your kid.
And in true Amy Schumer fashion, she managed to deliver all of that with honesty, humour, and zero fluff.
