Chipotle Rolls Out a New “GLP-1 Friendly” Menu

Published December 23, 2025

Yes, Even Burritos Are Watching Their Macros Now

Chipotle is officially entering its protein era.

Starting Tuesday, the burrito giant is launching a new High Protein Menu, and it’s proof that weight-loss drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy are quietly reshaping how people eat. Or at least how much rice we’re willing to commit to.

According to Chipotle, the menu is designed for anyone tracking macros, cutting calories, or eating like someone whose appetite now taps out after four bites.

“With the rise of GLP-1s and a broader focus on macronutrients, our new High Protein Menu gives guests more ways to get the protein they want in portions that work for them,” the company said, which is corporate speak for: people still want Chipotle, just… less of it.

One of the most eyebrow-raising additions is a 4-ounce cup of chicken or steak. It’s being pitched as a protein add-on or snack for fitness fans — but let’s be honest, it also looks tailor-made for anyone on Ozempic who’s now full after sniffing a burrito.

Overall, the new menu items range from 300 to 550 calories, pack 20 to 40 grams of protein, and include 6 to 12 grams of fibre. Translation: still filling, just not “I need to lie down after lunch” filling.

Two items are even labelled “GLP-1 friendly,” which may be the most 2025 phrase ever applied to fast food.

What’s on the High Protein Menu?

Here’s the full lineup, for anyone counting protein grams like it’s a competitive sport:

  • Double High Protein Bowl
    81g protein, 11g fibre, 760 calories
A burrito bowl with double Adobo Chicken, light white rice, black beans, fajita veggies, fresh tomato salsa, Monterey Jack cheese and extra romaine lettuce. Basically: commitment.
  • High Protein–High Fibre Bowl (GLP-1 friendly)
    46g protein, 14g fibre, 540 calories
Adobo Chicken, light brown rice, black beans, fajita veggies, roasted chilli-corn salsa, fresh tomato salsa and romaine lettuce. Balanced. Responsible. Still tasty.
  • High Protein–Low Calorie Salad (GLP-1 friendly)
    36g protein, 10g fibre, 470 calories
Adobo Chicken, supergreens lettuce mix, fajita veggies, fresh tomato salsa and guac. The salad that actually understands its assignment.
  • Double High Protein Burrito
    79g protein, 6g fibre, 840 calories
Double Adobo Chicken wrapped up with fajita veggies, cheese, salsa and lettuce. For days, you lift heavy or emotionally need a burrito.
  • High Protein Cup with Adobo Chicken
    32g protein, 180 calories
A 4-ounce cup of chicken that says, “I’m full, but I still want protein.”
  • Adobo Chicken Taco
    15g protein, 190 calories
A single soft taco with chicken, veggies, cheese and salsa. Small, mighty, and very much in its “portion control” era.

Bottom line: Chipotle isn’t ditching flavour — it’s just downsizing the chaos. And somehow, even burritos are now mindful eaters.
