Couples Who Fart Together, Stay Together—Seriously

Forget love letters and fancy date nights—the real sign of a strong relationship? Farting freely. 💨❤️
A survey from Mic found that 29% of couples hold in their gas for about two to six months—which, coincidentally, is about the same amount of time it takes to say “I love you.” 🤯
Let It Go (Literally)
While some worry that letting one rip could be a romance killer, experts say it’s a green flag in relationships.
“Farting around each other is a subconscious sign of comfort,” relationship expert Michael Sartain told Scary Mommy. “It shows that you’re at ease in the relationship and don’t feel the need to filter yourself.”
Translation? If you can Netflix, chill, and let one slip, you’re probably in a healthy, secure relationship.

Breaking the Stigma
For many, farting in front of a partner can feel awkward—especially for women, thanks to societal expectations. But why hold it in? If love is about acceptance, then maybe it’s time we normalize a little gas.
So, next time you’re debating whether to let it out or suffer in silence, just remember—couples who fart together, stay together. 💨💖
