Driver Accused of Being Asleep, Drunk, Following Oro Medonte Vehicle Fire
Police Found Driver Taking A Snooze After Roadway Reopened
They say not only was this guy asleep behind the wheel, he was also drunk. Around 3:30 yesterday afternoon, emergency crews shut down Highway 11 just north of Barrie to battle a car fire. Once it was out and traffic started moving, police found a vehicle not moving. They say the 49-year-old man behind the wheel had passed out. The Scarborough man was arrested on the spot, and charged with a DUI.
