According to a new survey on StudyFinds.org, people will drive around for an average of nine days with the check engine light on before they actually take their car into the shop.
The survey also found almost half of people have been late to an event or missed it completely because of their car breaking down.
The most common things we’ve missed are birthday parties and hanging out with friends.
