Meg's Melody & Mingle! An Evening of Music, Fun and Fundraising!

Join us for a family-friendly evening of unforgettable music (all genres) and community support for Barrie's own Megan O'Donnell at Megs Melody & Mingle: The Opera Journey Fundraiser! This special event is to support Megan O’Donnell, who has secured the prestigious role of Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute opera in Italy this summer.  Megan has been involved in the Barrie Music Community since age 5 in 2007 and has enjoyed representing the Barrie Music Festival many years at Ontario Provincials.

Event Details:

• Date: Friday, May 2, 2025
• Time: Concert starts at 7:30 PM (Doors open at 7:00 PM) After the concert there are light refreshments, silent auction and fun until 10:30 pm!

• Location: Burton Ave. United Church, Barrie, Ontario - The acoustics are AMAZING!

The evening kicks off promptly at 7:30 pm with a live concert performance by Megan O’Donnell herself, featuring a dynamic mix of classical opera, music theater, jazz, and contemporary music. Megan will be joined by fellow musicians performing duets and solos as well! (tbc), offering something for everyone! The concert will end at approx 8:45 PM, but the fun doesn’t stop there!

After the concert, the MINGLE fun begins!! In the church auditorium we will celebrate a fundraising silent auction, featuring amazing donations from local Canadian small businesses. There will be plenty of delicious finger foods, and you’ll have the chance to bid on unique and fabulous items—all in support of Megan’s journey to Italy.  Stay tuned for more details for any BONUS features!

The beautiful Burton Ave. United Church offers stunning acoustics and a balcony for the perfect musical experience, and this event is the perfect opportunity to enjoy great music, fantastic company, and make a difference in Megan’s career!

In Italy, Megan will not only be performing, she is spending 3 weeks learning at the International Lyric Academy, AND she will also be making invaluable career connections in the opera world.
