Kathy Griffin Has Lung Cancer
Her prognosis is positive!
The comedian took to social media to tell people that she was battling cancer.
The note began, “I’ve got to tell you guys something. I have cancer.” It continued, “I’m about to go into surgery to have half of my left lung removed,” the note continued. “Yes, I have lung cancer even though I’ve never smoked!”

The cancer was caught early and doctors are very optimistic that it could be contained. Kathy’s sister has also battled cancer years ago when Kathy shaved her head in support.
Lung cancer is the third most common cancer in the US, according to the CDC.
