LOVE IS BLIND IS COMING TO CANADA

Netflix has officially announced that its wildly popular dating reality show Love Is Blind is coming to Canada and casting is already open.

So, if you’re single, Canadian and willing to potentially fall in love with someone you’ve never actually seen… this could be your moment.

Or, more importantly, this could be your single friend’s moment.

So… How Does Love Is Blind Actually Work?

If you’ve somehow managed to avoid the Love Is Blind phenomenon, here’s the deal.

Singles enter what are basically little private dating rooms called pods. They can talk to each other, flirt, get to know each other and build a connection, but there’s a wall between them, so they never see the person they’re talking to.

The idea is that you fall in love based on personality, conversation and emotional connection rather than looks.

And then things get VERY serious.

If they find someone they think is “the one,” they can get engaged before ever seeing each other.

Only after the proposal do they finally meet face-to-face.

From there, the couples go on a romantic getaway, move in together, meet each other’s families and eventually have to decide whether they’re ready to actually get married.

Could You Be Canada's Next Reality TV Couple?

The announcement immediately sent Canadian fans into a frenzy online, with people tagging their single friends and basically volunteering them for the experiment.

Casting is officially underway. To apply, you need to be at least 19 years old and be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident as of January 2027.

The Canadian host hasn't been announced yet, so we're still waiting to find out who will be guiding our future Canadian couples through the pods, proposals and inevitable awkward family dinners.

The U.S. version has already produced 10 seasons, along with international versions in countries including Japan, Brazil, Sweden, the U.K., Mexico, Germany, Argentina and France.

Now it's Canada's turn.
