LL COOL J, NICKI MINAJ and JACK HARLOW hosted the 2022 MYV VMA’s last night live from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Nicki Minaj was honored with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award presented to her by her fans plus. The legendary King of Pop MJ would have been 54 year old today. Nicki also won Best hip-hop song with Lil Baby “Do We Have A Problem?”
Jack Harlow took flight at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, while Johnny Depp made a surprise float as the show’s Moon Person! Harlow kicked off his performance inside a mock airplane walking down aisle while performing his hit song “First Class” that samples by Fergie’s “Glamorous Life.” Harlow was joined by Fergie onstage who sang her 2006 hit. Depp made brief cameos wearing the iconic astronaut outfit with his face digitally inserted into the helmet. It was Depp’s first appearance nearly three months after the verdict in his defamation trial with his former wife Amber Heard.

Taylor Swift won Video of The Year and announced a brand new album arriving October 21st. After the show she posted on social media that the album is called “Midnights” and will feature 13 songs. “Midnights, the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout my life, will be out October 21. Meet me at midnight.”
