No One Really Watched The Golden Globe!

Perhaps people are done with virtual awards shows right now!

While a solid effort was made by the Golden Globes to attract an audience for what is usually the best awards show of the season, it fell flat, according to rating data.

Ratings released Monday showed that only 5.4 million Americans watched the three-hour telecast.  While not all figures are in yet, it’s estimated that viewership was down about 60% from last year.

Last year’s audience only had 18.3 million people tune in and that was the smallest audience in eight years.

To be fair, due to the ongoing pandemic, the show was forces to go mostly virtual and was hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler who did a great job!
