SNL Announces New Hosts and Musical Guests: Lady Gaga and Shane Gillis Set to Take the Stage

“Saturday Night Live” is keeping the momentum going after its 50th anniversary celebration, with two exciting episodes on the horizon. Lady Gaga will take on double duty as host and musical guest, and comedian Shane Gillis will also make his return to the iconic stage.
On March 1, Shane Gillis will host “SNL” for the second time. He’ll be joined by Canadian singer Tate McRae, who’s set to perform songs from her upcoming third album, So Close to What, dropping in late February.
On March 8, Lady Gaga will host for the second time and perform for the fifth. Her highly anticipated new album, Mayhem, will be released just a day before her SNL appearance, making it the perfect stage for new music and surprises.
Gillis’s journey with “SNL” has been complicated—he was originally hired as a cast member in 2019 but was fired before his debut due to resurfaced podcast clips that drew backlash. Gillis apologized, saying he’s a “comedian who pushes boundaries.”
