Could Miley Cyrus Be Our Next Super Bowl Halftime Star?

We don't even have the 2027 Super Bowl halftime performer yet, but the rumour mill is already doing cardio.
Miley Cyrus is reportedly one of the favourites to headline the show.
Nothing has been officially confirmed by the NFL, but Miley's name has been getting plenty of attention, including from oddsmakers who have her among the leading possibilities.
And really, Miley at the Super Bowl makes sense.
She's got Flowers, Wrecking Ball, Party in the U.S.A., The Climb... basically enough massive songs to fill halftime without having to awkwardly squeeze in a new single nobody knows.
But fans are already wondering whether a Miley halftime show could also feature an emotional tribute to her godmother, Dolly Parton, who died last month.

Dolly was a huge influence on Miley throughout her life and career, so fans are imagining everything from a Dolly song to a full-on tribute during the performance.
Miley has actually been part of Super Bowl weekend before. In 2021, she performed at the TikTok Tailgate before Super Bowl LV, but she's never headlined the actual halftime show.
Again, Miley Cyrus has NOT been confirmed.
But if it happens, between Miley's catalogue, the costumes, the potential Dolly tribute and Wrecking Ball...
Somewhere, an NFL insurance adjuster is already saying, "Whatever you do, don't let her actually swing into the stadium on that thing."
