The hot girl walk is a viral TikTok obsession where young women take hours-long walks that also double as photo ops. Popular with Gen Zers and millennials mostly.
These hot girl walks are usually done to give you a mental health break all while wearing chic matching sports bras and leggings, perhaps accessorized with cute arm-weight bracelets. Visualizing one’s “hotness” while walking is also key.
It was a 23-year-old woman named Mia Lind who coined the term in a TikTok video that is now on its way to 1 million views.
There are rules to follow while on your #hotgirlwalk.
Think of things that you are grateful for
Think of your goals and how you’re going to achieve them
And Finally- you can only think about yourself!
A study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association last month found that walking at a brisk pace for 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease and dementia, while more than 10,000 steps per day (the equivalent of 5 miles) may be associated with a lower risk of cancer and death.
Charlie’s Hot Mess Mom Walk!
Let’s be real! Moms don’t have time for this! So don’t feel bad if you can’t find an hour to yourself for anything, let alone a walk with your gal pals. You are doing the HOT MESS MOM WALK all the time!
The rules for this walk include…
Walking up the stairs and picking kids’ crap up as you go!
Walking back to your car because you forgot one of the kid’s soccer cleats!
Walking the dog that technically belongs to the kid who promised to take care of it every day!
Then speed walking to the bathroom because you’ve been running around doing things for everyone else- you forgot to pee!
