Women Start Taking Their Health Seriously at This Age

If you’ve ever felt like you have way too many unanswered health questions, you’re not alone. A new survey found that the average woman has eight unanswered health concerns—and younger women have even more.
40 Is the Turning Point
According to the study, most women become serious about their health at age 40. Before that, many are left guessing about their bodies, coming up with theories about what might be wrong.
- Gen Z women have an average of 11 unanswered health questions
- Baby boomers have just five
Younger women are also more likely to self-diagnose, with Gen Z participants reporting an average of five personal health theories, compared to baby boomers’ two.

Pelvic Floor Issues Are a Big Concern
Many of the women surveyed experienced pelvic floor issues, and getting answers wasn’t easy—it took an average of three doctor’s visits to receive a diagnosis.
71% of women said they knew something wasn’t right but struggled to get clear answers. These issues have affected several areas of their lives, including:

🧠 Mental health – 39%
💞 Romantic relationships – 36%
💪 Physical health & fitness – 31%
🎉 Social life – 28%
