Superman’s Son Comes Out In New Comic Series
Jonathan Kent is the son of Clark Kent and Lois Lane, in case you aren’t up on your Superman comics.
DC Comics announced that Jonathan is coming out as bisexual and a new comic will explore his relationship with a man.
Fans can pick up the new series titled Superman: Son of Kal-El. In the series, Jon Kent inherits the Superman mantle from his dad. The character has talked about issues like climate change, school shootings, and the refugee crisis in the new series.
In issue #5, the hero will enter into a relationship with Jay Nakamura, a journalist with his own heroic qualities, who is inspired by Jon’s mother Lois.
DC has started to introduce characters that are part of the LGBTQ+ community in recent months including Robin, a younger version of Aquaman, Batwoman, and Harley Quinn.
