Naughty or Nice? The Most Swear-Tastic Holiday Movies!
When we think about holiday movies, we usually picture heartwarming tales, snowy landscapes, and messages of goodwill.
But some festive films bring a little extra spice to the season, with a surprising amount of colourful language. Thanks to a study by the language tutorial site Preply, we now know which holiday movies have the most cuss words.
And trust us, some of these results might make you blush!
Bad Santa Takes the Crown
Topping the list with a whopping 255 swear words is Bad Santa (2003).
This dark comedy about a conman posing as Santa Claus is not your typical feel-good holiday film. If you're looking for a movie with a bit of bite and a whole lot of swearing, this one’s for you.
The Runner-Ups
While Bad Santa is in a league of its own, several other films also feature a fair amount of festive foul language:

- Better Watch Out (2016) – 82 swear words
- Die Hard (1988) – 77 swear words (Yes, it’s a Christmas movie!)
- Just Friends (2005) – 46 swear words
Classics with a Twist
You might be surprised to see some beloved holiday classics on this list:

- Home Alone (1990) rounds out the list with 9 swear words – Little Kevin McCallister might be mischievous, but he’s got nothing on Bad Santa!
