The “Healthiest Meal in the World”

Published January 31, 2025

If you think eating healthy means giving up cheese and chocolate, think again!

nutritionist in England has designed what she claims is the “healthiest meal in the world”, and it includes both.

But before you get too excited about endless cheese boards and chocolate bars, there’s a catch—this three-course meal is carefully curated to maximize nutrition, and it’s not exactly what you’d find at your favourite restaurant.

Here’s what’s on the menu:

Starter: Labneh Cheese with Roasted Tomatoes & Broccoli

Labneh, a fermented cheese popular in Middle Eastern cuisine, is rich in probiotics, which promote gut health. The addition of roasted tomatoes and broccoli provides fibre, vitamins, and antioxidants.

Main Course: Citrus Mackerel Salad

This nutrient-packed dish includes:
✅ Mackerel – One of the healthiest fish, loaded with omega-3 fatty acids
✅ Chickpeas – A great source of plant-based protein and fibre
✅ Fennel & Red Onion – Packed with vitamins and digestive benefits
✅ Black Olives, Sauerkraut & Pumpkin Seeds – A mix of healthy fats, probiotics, and essential minerals

Dessert: Tofu Chocolate Mousse with Blueberries

To satisfy that sweet tooth, the dessert features dark chocolate (rich in antioxidants), silken tofu (a great source of plant protein), and blueberries, which are known for their anti-aging properties.

Is It the Healthiest Meal?

The entire meal is around 1,200 calories, providing a balanced mix of protein, healthy fats, fibre, and essential vitamins. While it’s not the cheesy pizza and chocolate cake combo we might dream of, it’s proof that healthy eating doesn’t have to be boring.
