Hooters May Be Going Bust—Literally

Published February 26, 2025

According to a Bloomberg report, Hooters, the once-iconic chain known for wings, beer, and its signature uniforms, may soon file for bankruptcy.

Ontario is already down to just two locations—one in Downtown Toronto and another in Niagara Falls—and if the rumours are true, they could be on borrowed time.

A Sign of the Times?

For many, Hooters closing feels inevitable. The restaurant has struggled for years, with declining sales and changing cultural attitudes making it harder to keep up. We will forever miss the iconic TV spots including this gem from 1997.

Honestly, it’s a little sad. Some people have childhood memories of eating grilled cheese there (hey, don’t judge), while others… well, let’s say some bald dudes are about to have an identity crisis.

Despite sagging sales, there’s still hope. A rebrand could be in order—maybe a home delivery service called "Knockers"? 🤔

What do you think—will you miss Hooters, or is it time to let it go?
