ROXETTE'S 40TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR IS OFF... AND IT MUST HAVE BEEN LOW TICKET SALES πŸŽ€πŸ’”

Published July 27, 2026

If you were planning to relive the late '80s and early '90s with Roxette this fall, you'll have to keep singing into your hairbrush instead.

The band has cancelled its entire North American 40th anniversary tour, including a stop at Toronto's RBC Amphitheatre.

No official reason has been given, but industry chatter suggests slow ticket sales may have pulled the plug.

It's a surprising twist, especially since It Must Have Been Love just passed one billion views on YouTube. Apparently, lots of people still love the song... they just preferred listening to it from the couch.

The tour was celebrating 40 years since Roxette's debut album. Following the death of original singer Marie Fredrikssonin 2019, co-founder Per Gessle revived the band with Swedish singer Lena Philipsson last year.

Roxette gave us some of the biggest pop anthems of the era, including The LookListen to Your HeartJoyride, and of course It Must Have Been Love, which became a worldwide hit after appearing in Pretty Woman.

It's a reminder that streaming numbers don't always translate into sold-out arenas.

After all, it's easy to belt out "She's Got the Look" while cleaning the kitchen... it's a lot harder to leave the house on a Tuesday night. 🎢
