The tinier the dog, the bigger the man.
Forget the German Shepherd. Forget the Rottweiler. Apparently, nothing screams “I am completely secure in my masculinity” quite like walking around with a six-pound dog named Princess Pickles.
A new book called Yap! A Short History of Small Dogs suggests that for the modern man, owning a tiny dog could actually be seen as a sign of confidence.
The thinking is that a guy who's comfortable walking around with a Chihuahua, Yorkie or tiny fluffy Pomeranian doesn't feel the need to prove how manly he is with a traditionally tough-looking dog.

Basically, he doesn't need a pit bull. He's got a Maltese in a sweater and absolutely nothing to prove. And apparently, women may agree.
A 2022 study involving 300 female university students in Spain found that women generally felt more comfortable around men pictured with smaller dogs.
Which means the ultimate wingman might not be your buddy Chad. It might be a seven-pound Shih Tzu named Kevin.
Get yourself a tiny dog.
