Britney Spears Free From Conservatorship! And She’s Thanking Fans For It!
Brit No Longer Under the Conservatorship That Has Ruled Her Life for Nearly 14 Years!
Last Friday (Nov. 12), Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny terminated Britney’s conservatorship effective immediately.
Britney, now 39, has been under this conservatorship for nearly 14 years.
The conservatorship allowed her father, Jamie Spears, along with his team full control, making decisions about her work, who she could have contact with, her personal affairs, and how to spend her money. This has been ongoing since 2008 – until now.
To celebrate her victory, Britney posted a video on Instagram and in the caption she writes, “Good God I love my fans so much it’s crazy!!! I think I’m gonna cry the rest of the day !!!! Best day ever … praise the Lord … can I get an Amen ???? #FreedBritney”
