A Tribute to Two Canadian Icons
Unveiled at the TIFF Lightbox Theatre on World Cancer Day, the two-minute short film is a stunning tribute to Fox’s Marathon of Hope.
The film depicts a CGI-enhanced Terry Fox look-alike running up a hill to the stripped-down sounds of Courage—The Tragically Hip’s 1992 classic featuring Gord Downie’s original vocals. As Fox reaches the peak, hundreds of runners join him in a powerful display of solidarity.
More Than Just a Film
This emotional project marks the launch of Finish It, the new brand platform by the Terry Fox Foundation and Terry Fox Research Institute. The initiative focuses on precision oncology research through the Marathon of Hope Cancer Centres Network, a groundbreaking effort to advance cancer treatment.
Since its inception, the Terry Fox Foundation has raised nearly $1 billion—and Finished It is a reminder that the fight isn’t over.
