The 'Friends' have lost a dear friend
James Michael Tyler, the actor who played the coffee house man on ‘Friends’ for the show’s entire run and died; he was 59.
The actor died of prostate cancer on Sunday, confirms his manager.
Tyler was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2018 and since then has become very vocal to get checked and screened early.
According to Tyler’s relatives, he was a loving father, actor, musician and cancer-awareness advocate.
Fans of the show called him the seventh ‘Friend’ as he first appeared on the series during season one’s second episode and was a frequent returning guest star across all ten seasons.
James Michael Tyler’s other acting credits include “Sabrina the Teenage Witch,” “Scrubs” and “Modern Music.”
Tyler is survived by his wife, Jennifer Carno.
