Heated Rivalry Is Coming Back… Eventually. Like, 2027 Eventually.

Good news for anyone still emotionally unwell over Season 1 of Heated Rivalry: the slow burn is officially continuing.
Show creator Jacob Tierney and executive producer Brendan Brady stopped by CBS Mornings to chat with Gayle King, where they confirmed that Season 2 is in the works.
By “in the works,” we mean they’re currently writing it and plan to start filming in August. So yes, it’s happening. No, you cannot binge it next month.
Gayle casually dropped the detail that the new season is expected to land in April 2027. Which feels both exciting and approximately 400 years from now.
Tierney promised there will be “more Heated Rivalry on your TVs as soon as humanly possible.”
Humanly possible, apparently, means two more winters.
Brady leaned into the drama of it all, saying fans should “enjoy the yearn.” Which is a poetic way of saying, “Please sit with your feelings and rewatch Season 1 twelve times.”

Yes, It’s Canadian. We’re Claiming It.
Tierney also made it clear that the show stays true to its roots. It’s based on a novel by Rachel Reid, and he described the series as a very faithful adaptation of her book.
And in case anyone forgot, he proudly reminded viewers: this is a Canadian story made by Canadian producers.
Which means:
• The angst is premium quality.
• The longing is professionally crafted.
• And the emotional tension probably apologizes before ruining your life.
So buckle up. Season 2 is filming this summer. It’s coming in spring 2027. And until then, we will all be “enjoying the yearn” whether we like it or not. 🍁🔥
