MELISSA GRELO IS LEAVING THE SOCIAL AFTER 13 SEASONS 📺🎙️

A familiar face on Canadian daytime television is saying goodbye.

Melissa Grelo is leaving CTV's The Social after 13 seasons on the show and 18 years with Bell Media.

Grelo announced the news on social media, saying it's time to move on to a new chapter.

And 18 years at the same company? That's not leaving a job. That's graduating with tenure, a pension and a coffee mug nobody else is allowed to use.

Her departure comes as The Social prepares for a pretty significant makeover for Season 14.

The show is moving away from its traditional daytime talk-show setup and becoming a video podcast, filmed in Toronto without a studio audience.

It'll stream live on YouTube at 1 p.m., followed by the recorded one-hour show airing on CTV at 2 p.m. Eastern.

So basically, television has now become a podcast...That you watch...

Which then becomes television again.

As for Grelo, she's already been building her next chapter through her health and wellness podcast, Aging Powerfully with Melissa Grelo. She says the community that's grown around the project helped her discover a new way of connecting with people.

Grelo also thanked viewers for welcoming her into their homes every day for nearly two decades.
