36% OF PEOPLE CLAIM THEY'VE NEVER FAKED BEING SICK 🤒

Back-to-school season is here, which means kids everywhere are about to rediscover one of childhood's greatest acting roles:
“Mom... I don't feel good.”
A new poll asked people if they've ever pretended to be sick to get out of work or school, and 54 per cent admitted they have. But 36 per cent claim they've NEVER done it.

Never?!
Not once?
You've never woken up, looked outside, looked at your responsibilities and thought...
“Yep. This feels like a 24-hour stomach bug.”
Another 6 per cent said they're “not sure.”
How do you not know?
"Have you ever faked being sick?"
"Hard to say. There was an incident in Grade 9 involving a math test and some very convincing diarrhoea."
And 4 per cent preferred not to answer.
Which is somehow more suspicious than just saying yes.
Women were more likely than men to admit they've faked being sick, and Gen X was the generation most likely to own up to it.
Of course they were.
Gen X grew up having to convince their parents they were sick enough to stay home...
then spend the entire day making sure they didn't look TOO healthy when Mom got home.
Because nothing exposed a fake illness faster than hearing the garage door open and suddenly remembering:
“CRAP! I'M SUPPOSED TO BE DYING.”
And parents, let's be honest.
Sometimes you don't even want to fake being sick to avoid work.
You want to fake being sick after everyone else leaves.
Kids are at school.
Partner's at work.
House is silent.
Nobody asking what's for dinner.
You call in sick, crawl back into bed and spend six glorious hours alone.
That's not playing hooky.
That's a wellness retreat with benefits.
