Roberta Flack, Legendary Singer, Passes Away at 88

Music has lost a true icon. Roberta Flack, the Grammy-winning singer and pianist known for her soulful, intimate vocal style, has passed away at 88.
Her breakthrough came in 1971 when Clint Eastwood used "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" in his film Play Misty for Me. The song became a massive hit, topping the Billboard pop chart in 1972 and winning Record of the Year at the Grammys.
She made history again in 1973 with "Killing Me Softly With His Song," becoming the first artist to win back-to-back Grammys for Record of the Year.
