Taylor Swift Booed at the Super Bowl—But She Took It in Stride
Well, that was unexpected.
Taylor Swift, who was cheered like royalty at last year’s Super Bowl, got a very different reception this time around. When the pop superstar appeared on the video screens inside the Superdome during the first quarter, the pro-Eagles crowd let out a round of boos.
Sitting next to Ice Spice, Taylor reacted with a classic side-eye and a wrinkled nose, realizing the crowd’s energy wasn’t exactly Lover-level warm.
Of course, Swift and Travis Kelce have been the ultimate sports-and-pop-culture power couple since last season, when the Chiefs tight end first invited her to a game. This year, she made it to Vegas just in time for some pre-game fun, including a double date with Patrick and Brittany Mahomes at the French restaurant Lilette. The night before, she was spotted out with Danielle and Alana Haim at Gianna Restaurant.
