Taylor Swift Just Made Songwriting History... Again ๐ŸŽค๐Ÿ†

Published August 12, 2026

At this point, Taylor Swift might need to add a separate wing onto her house just for awards.

The 14-time Grammy winner has been named to the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Class of 2026, and at just 36 years old, sheโ€™ll become the youngest songwriter ever inducted into the organization.

Thirty-six!

Some of us at 36 were still Googling, โ€œHow long can chicken stay in the fridge?โ€

Swift is being inducted in the Contemporary Songwriter/Artist category, making this one especially meaningful because Nashville is where her career really got rolling.

Sheโ€™ll now join some pretty legendary company in the Hall, including Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson.

You know... just Taylor and a few other people whoโ€™ve written a decent tune or two.

Sheโ€™ll be inducted as part of a four-person class that also includes Texas singer-songwriter Lyle Lovett.

And because apparently one Hall of Fame in a calendar year just isnโ€™t enough, earlier in 2026 Swift also became the youngest female inductee into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in New York.

The official Nashville induction ceremony will happen at the 56th Anniversary Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala later this year, with the exact date and location still to come.

So congratulations to Taylor Swift, who at 36 is already in two songwriting halls of fame.

Meanwhile, the rest of us are just hoping somebody eventually recognizes us for remembering all our passwords.
