That is the question on a Reddit feed this week! If you grew up in the 90s, you were lucky! It was fun! Sadly many of the things we knew and loved have disappeared and people are taking note of those epic things that made the 90s so spectacular!
They include:
A disc man plugged into a cassette tape with a wire to play music in your car.
Hotlines for weather reports, current time, movie show times and when your bus would arrive. (Hello, and welcome to movie phone!)
Looking in the newspaper for showtimes!
Talk to your friend’s mom to see if they were home!
Calling a girl’s house and having to ask her dad if you can speak to her!
Being unreachable!
When picking someone up from the airport, you could wait for them at their gate!
-Those paid TVs that took quarters
Waiting for your favourite song to come on the radio.
Card catalogues to find books in a library! Also, Sears catalogues and the Wishbook!
Keeping a binder full of CDs in your car…
Putting tape over the security tab/square on the cassette so you could record over any tape you had in your collection
Phone booths or just pay for phones! (Yellow pages)
